Casting FlightMap timer Druid cat / Rogue

This addon adds a combat HUD to your UI, showing player/target/pet hp and mana/rage/whatever as rings centered on your screen. It uses the StatRings code originally made by Iriel but later modified by Antiarc. It also shows a small target frame with textual hp/mana as well as a 3D target model for other players.

It has support for FlightMap destination timers and also have a casting bar with spell text and timer. If the casting bar is enabled it will hide the default Blizzard casting bar.

ArcHud uses MobHealth2/MobHealth3/MobInfo-2 for mob health display.

Based on Tivoli's beta Nurfed HUD which used the StatRings modification by Antiarc.

Some of the features implemented in ArcHUD was first implemented in other addons, credits goes out to Moog for his modification of NurfedHUD called Moog_Hud as well as to Repent for creating eCastingBar where I got the FlightMap support code from.

Once installed you can access ArcHUD options by typing /archud or /ah in the chat window.

07-06-11 - 2.2.39509

  • Added custom ring color options to most rings
  • Added horizontal location-option
  • Added detach-option to pet rings to make them behave like the other rings

Installation Guide

  1. Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
  2. Download the mod you want to install
    • Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
    • Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
    • If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
  3. Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
    • Windows
      • Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
      • WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
      • WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
    • Mac Users
      • StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
  4. Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
  5. Move to the Addon folder
    • Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
    • Go into the "Interface" folder.
    • Go into the "AddOns" folder.
    • In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
    • The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
    • Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
  6. Start World of Warcraft
  7. Make sure AddOns are installed
    • At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
    • If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
    • If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Things that would make your program even more awesome:

(1) A way to customize/move/enlarge the hard-to-read ENEMY SPELL-NAME TEXT during casting, very cluttered @ its location among the percentages, etc (2) A way to customize/move/enlarge the PERCENTAGES of ENEMY HEALTH/ YOUR HEALTH (3) A way to control the "FLEX ANGLE" and WIDTH of the bars themselves, as the tapering, while sleek, is hard to read... it looks like you are almost full health/mana when you are actually around 85%

Awesome HUD - been using it for a long time now, but I discovered a little problem - ArcHUD's Dewdrop library seems to be out of date. I replaced it with a new one from files.wowace.com and everything worked out fine. It was giving an error every time an Ace addon slash command was typed in (like /ah about). Thought it was the addon that I was writing that caused it.

Just a little heads-up.

Still using this baby, one of the best hud out there, no actually best. :)

Question: Would like to make the lines just simple vertical, not ring style. I see that I should be able to modify them but seems complicated for me. :\ Anyone already played around with it (maybe owner could help us out too), so a nice vertical bar could be used?

Many thanks for any info...

Yeah I've been wondering how to disable the name in the middle as well. It's sort of useless; after 70 levels you think people would remember their own names :P

Hey, just trying this out today for the first time. have a few questions so far.

It seems the text for Target Casting: Show spell being cast is buried under the arcs on the left?

What is the stuff about name plates? I turn it all off and have not seen any changes...

would be great if you had documentation to describe how some of the features work.

I recently installed ArcHUD and Perl Classic, and wanted to use the info provided from ArcHUD, so I disabled the player, player pet, target, and target target parl addons, and then disabled the player and target Blizzard UI.

I'm having a problem where the Blizzard target frame shows up, even though I have it disabled in Arc. Sometimes I'll just get an empty frame (no picture, a skull for the level, and no HP and mana bars, just numbers, and the entire thing is highlighted), and when I enable the blizzard target UI in Arch and turn it back off, the target frame will not disappear.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Would it be possible to add stat rings for your party as well?

Minor issue... When you set Scale to '0' you get an error, which I'd expect. Unfortunately, it actually lets you do it and then you get nothing but errors and can't undo it. :)

Tried to shut down and manually edit Scale back to 100 in the SavedVariables LUA file, but the HUD didn't show up at all. Ended up blowing the SavedVariables file away to start over.
