Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Windows
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods. - Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

GapeIt seems toc file got a bit corrupted. All you have to do is open EnergyWatch_v2.toc file in WoW\Interface\AddOns\EnergyWatch_v2 folder.
1. Delete the first "#" in the file (I think it says ### Interface: 20200 ; it should be ## Interface: 20200)
2. Move EnergyWatch_v2.xml in next line (other than ## Dependencies:) or just remove both:

PrismI am getting an error in the addons screen saying the addon is Incompatible, and that it's missing EnergyWatch_v2.xml as a dependancie. Even though the file exist in the addon directory.
Any clue what might cause this? The older version, as far as you can call it that ofcourse, didn't have this problem.

siv0968Great job!
I'd like to know if it's possible to add a little combo bar and energy bar, like old RogueFocus addon did (now it has too many bar and they are not configurable).

OneWingedAngelI just uploaded a 2.1-compatible Beta version, which has the added feature of being able to specify WAV or MP3 files to play when an energy tick occurs, as well as internal WoW sound effects. It works fine for me, but give it a try and report any bugs you run into!

OneWingedAngelI'm going to be testing EW on the 2.1 PTRs and putting up a compatible version shortly. I thought this would be a good time to ask for any feature requests or changes to EW. Leave a note, or drop a PM if you have any.

OneWingedAngelExtract the addon into the Interface/Addons folder in your WoW install folder. (This is usually C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\ on Windows). When you log in to the WoW character screen, you should then see an Addons button in the bottom-left corner. Click it and make sure that EnergyWatch is checked, then log in your rogue/feral druid and it should be there.

OneWingedAngelThe movement of the yellow inside the energy watch bar is not showing your current energy level, it shows the time until your next "tick" of energy. When the bar reaches the right edge, that is when you will receive your next natural energy tick. Useful for timing Ambushes, or knowing if you'll get the energy you need before your current stun expires. /ew unlock will allow you to drag the bar wherever you like. /ew lock when you're done so it won't get moved accidentally.

BadimoI'm puzzled as to why the ew meter continuously moves from 0 to full over and over regardless of your actual energy level. The only way to get any use out of it is to show the energy level as text in the bar. Also, is there any way to position the bar on the screen?

ZorexNeed help, please. /ew sound random How I can use it? I mean, if I have random sound named x.wav, on which should I rename it for that /ew sound random to detect it?
I'm bored of the book closure sound and I hate the heartbeat sounds.. I don't need any gong to notify me about a single tick either. I want my sound to be 0.010 seconds long faint "click" that is heard always.. but I have problem to make it work.

OneWingedAngelZorex:
I've never really played around with the sound effects in EW, but here's what I've found. Currently EW can only play in-game sounds, custom WAVs are not available. I'd have to do some research to see how to add that ability into the game if people really want it. In the meantime, you can use any of the sound names on this page: http://www.wowwiki.com/API_PlaySound
And they will work. There are a few sounds in the game that would be soft and short, the one that plays when you try to use an ability that's not available (not the voice, but the sound effect). Not sure what it's called, but hopefully you can find one that works for you in the internal WoW sounds.
/ew sound GAMEINITIALATTACK is an example. Go through the list and see if anything works. If not, let me know and I'll look into if it's possible to play arbitrary WAV/MP3 files.
